Why 1C setup projects stall

Many teams buy 1C Complex Automation 2 or ERP expecting it to work like a ready-made accounting system. The software is powerful, but it only produces reliable reports when the chart of accounts, analytics, item types, agreements, cost articles and accounting policy are configured for the way the company actually buys, stores, produces and sells.

When settings are chosen ad hoc, the symptoms appear later: inventory balances do not match the warehouse, cost of goods sold is calculated with the wrong expenses, production materials disappear from reports, and month-end close turns into a list of manual adjustments. The problem is rarely one button. It is a chain of decisions that must fit together.

This program is built for practitioners who need to make those decisions with confidence. It walks through trade and warehouse operations, production accounting, cost distribution and regulated accounting in a logical order, using demonstration scenarios that mirror real implementation work.

You will see how settings affect documents, reports and closing entries, so you can test a configuration choice before it becomes a month-end problem. The focus is on practical understanding: what to configure, why it matters, and how to check that the result is correct.

What you will be able to do

By the end of the program, you will have a working method for the core accounting flows in 1C Complex Automation 2 and ERP.

  • Configure accounting sections and master data for trade and production

Set up the sections, policy choices and reference data that control how documents behave.

  • Set up item types, characteristics, units and packaging

Build an item structure that supports the way goods and materials are actually sold and consumed.

  • Record purchases, additional expenses and supplier returns

Work with supplier agreements, transport costs, returns and opening balances.

  • Build sales documents, price lists and customer agreements

Configure prices, customer orders, sales of goods and services, and customer returns.

  • Run warehouse operations, inventory counts and write-offs

Handle recounts, shortages, other receipts and write-offs, and defective goods.

  • Set up production without orders and resource specifications

Move materials into production, transfer finished goods out and review the results in reports.

  • Distribute direct and indirect costs to product cost

Work with materials, labor, overhead, returnable waste and production defects.

  • Close the month and analyze regulated accounting reports

Set up accounts, diagnose common closing errors and reconcile management and accounting results.

  • Plan production and handle custom orders

Use production plans, material purchase plans and custom-order scenarios in the accounting flow.

How the program works

The program is self-paced and organized into eight modules. Each module contains short video lessons and downloadable text materials that summarize the settings, document sequences and report checks covered in the videos. You can pause, rewind and repeat a lesson while working in a test copy of 1C.

Lessons follow a practical sequence: first the setting or reference data, then the document flow, then the report or closing result. Module quizzes help you check that you can recognize the correct setup before moving on. The curriculum is designed so that later modules build on earlier ones, but you can also return to a specific topic when a real project raises a question.

There are no live sessions to schedule. You study when it fits your week, and the materials remain available after purchase. The program does not require a specific company dataset; demonstration scenarios are used so you can follow the logic and then adapt it to your own configuration.

Is this program for you?

This course is for you if…

  • Accountants and economists responsible for accounting in 1C Complex Automation 2 or ERP
  • Implementation specialists and analysts configuring 1C for a client
  • Finance managers who need reliable inventory, production and cost reports
  • Specialists moving from simpler 1C products to Complex Automation 2 or ERP
  • Consultants who want a structured method for trade and production setups

Probably not a fit if…

  • Complete beginners with no experience in accounting or 1C
  • Users looking only for a quick overview of the interface
  • Teams that need live classroom training or one-to-one consulting
  • Programmers looking for code-level customization of 1C
  • Specialists focused only on retail POS operations without production or cost accounting

After the program

You will have a working map of how 1C Complex Automation 2 and ERP fit together for a trading or production company. You will know which settings control inventory, sales, production and cost, and how those settings surface in reports and month-end entries.

When a report looks wrong, you will be able to trace the issue back to the document flow, analytics or cost article instead of rebuilding the whole configuration. You will have a routine for checking opening balances, stock movements, production output and cost distribution before closing the period.

You will also be able to discuss configuration choices with accountants, warehouse staff and production managers using a shared vocabulary. The program does not replace project experience, but it gives you a structured reference you can return to during implementation work.
