Why the same questions keep coming back

Most people arrive at astrology with one question: what am I actually supposed to be doing with this life? They read a description of their sun sign, recognise a few traits, and then hit a wall. The general reading does not explain why the same situation keeps repeating, why certain years feel like an examination, or why a talent that looks obvious from the outside is so difficult to put to use.

A natal chart answers those questions only when it is read as a whole. The Sun shows what a person is here to become. The Moon shows what they keep falling back into. The lunar nodes show the direction of growth and the baggage carried into this life. The retrogrades show where the engine stalls. Read separately, these pieces contradict each other. Read together, they form a single instruction.

This programme teaches that reading. It is a self-paced course in karmic astrology built around the chart you can see in front of you: you learn each technique on your own placements first, then apply it to the charts of people around you. Nothing is left at the level of a keyword list — every placement is worked through in terms of what it asks a person to do.

By the end you will not be reciting memorised phrases. You will have a repeatable method for opening any chart and finding the purpose, the obstacles and the recurring themes written into it.

What you will be able to do

Each skill below is practised on a real chart during the course, starting with your own.

  • Read your Sun by sign and house

Separate the style of the sign from the arena of the house and say what the combination asks of you.

  • Interpret your Moon

Identify emotional habits, comfort patterns and the reflexes a chart describes as inherited.

  • Locate your karmic direction

Read the North and South Node by sign and house as an axis of growth and the load carried behind it.

  • Find the ruler of a chart

Determine the ruling planet from the Sun sign and Ascendant, and see how it colours every other placement.

  • Explain retrogrades and stationary planets

Describe what a retrograde planet asks of a person instead of treating it as a defect.

  • Work with the Black and White Moon

Place these and other calculated points in a chart and describe their influence without overstating it.

  • Assess karmic experience

Use the course framework for reading accumulated experience, soul age and the lessons attached to it.

  • Give a complete chart reading

Combine Sun, Moon, nodes, ruler and retrogrades into one coherent interpretation of purpose.

How the course works

The programme is recorded and self-paced. You move through eight modules in order, watching short video lectures and pausing whenever a technique needs to be tried on your own chart. There is no schedule to keep up with and no live attendance to arrange: the lessons are waiting in your account whenever you have an hour to spend.

Every module closes with tests and practice assignments. The tests check that you have understood the mechanics — which planet rules which house, how a node axis is read, what a stationary planet changes. The assignments send you back to a real chart with a specific task, because reading astrology is a skill of the hands, not of memory.

The material is deliberately layered. A complete beginner can start at the first lesson and build up, while someone who already reads charts can move faster through the foundations and spend their time on the karmic layers: the nodes, the calculated points, the question of accumulated experience. The lessons are written in plain language and explain each term the first time it appears.

    • The nodal axis by house pair
    • Nodes in aspect: when the axis is pulled by other planets
    • Practice: reading a nodal axis in three different charts
  5. 5Module 5 — The ruler of the chart and the AscendantFinding the planet that governs the whole picture and following its thread.
    • Determining the ruler from the Sun sign and the Ascendant
    • The ruler by house: where the life is actually steered
    • Dispositor chains and what they reveal about priorities
    • Practice: tracing the ruler through your own chart

What you get

Everything below is included in the programme and stays in your account after purchase.

  • 107 recorded video lectures

Around 75 academic hours of structured teaching, split into short lessons you can watch in any order within a module.

  • Eight-module structure

A fixed sequence that takes you from the basics of a chart to a complete written interpretation.

  • Tests after every module

Short checks on the mechanics, so a misunderstanding is caught before it spreads into the next topic.

  • Practice assignments on real charts

Each module ends with a task that sends you back to a chart with a specific question to answer.

  • Supporting written materials

Reference notes that summarise the rules covered in the videos, for the moments when you need a reminder.

  • A method you can reuse

The same order of operations works on any chart, including the charts of friends, family and, later, clients.

  • Self-paced access

No start date and no deadlines. The lessons are available whenever you have time to work through them.

Reading a chart in layers, not in keywords

The method taught here follows a fixed order. You begin with the three main planets, because they set the spine of the interpretation: what the person is becoming, what they need, and where the effort is directed. Only when those three are clear do you add the ruler of the chart, which tells you where the whole configuration is steered from.

The second layer is the karmic one. The nodal axis is read as a pair, never as a single point: the South Node describes the ground a person keeps returning to, and the North Node describes the direction that feels unfamiliar and therefore develops them. Reading only one half of the axis is the most common mistake in karmic astrology, and the course spends a full module on avoiding it.

The third layer covers what most short courses skip: retrogrades, stationary planets, the Black and White Moon and other calculated points. These are treated as information rather than as warnings. A retrograde planet is not a defect in a chart; it describes a function that works inward before it works outward, and the lessons show how to say that in a reading without frightening the person in front of you.

Finally, you learn to resolve contradictions. A chart rarely says one clean thing. The skill being built across the eight modules is the ability to hold two opposing placements at once and describe the tension as a task rather than a curse.

Is this course for you?

This course is for you if…

  • Complete beginners who want a structured entry into astrology rather than scattered articles and videos.
  • People who already read charts and want to revisit the karmic indicators with a consistent method.
  • Anyone asking the larger question — what is this life for — and willing to work through an actual chart to answer it.
  • Readers of tarot, metaphysics or other symbolic systems who want to add a chart-based layer to their practice.
  • People who prefer to study alone, at their own pace, with written assignments to check their understanding.

Probably not a fit if…

  • Anyone looking for a fortune-telling shortcut that names a date and an outcome without any work on their part.
  • People who want a quick sun-sign reading; this programme is about the whole chart and takes real study time.
  • Those who will not open their own chart and complete the practice assignments — the tests alone will not build the skill.
  • Readers who want a fixed set of memorised keywords to repeat; the course deliberately teaches interpretation instead.

After the course

In practical terms, you finish with a written reading of your own chart: a document that names your solar direction, your lunar reflexes, the axis you are growing along, the planet that steers the whole configuration and the placements that work inward before they work outward. Most people find that this document explains several events they had previously filed away as random.

The second change is methodological. You will be able to open a chart you have never seen and know where to start, what to read next and which contradictions to expect. That order of operations is what separates a reading from a list of associations, and it is the part that transfers to any chart, not only your own.

The third is a matter of language. You will have practised describing difficult placements without drama and without promises, which is what makes a reading useful to another person. Whether you keep this as a personal practice or eventually read for others, the vocabulary you build here is the one you will keep using.

Questions before you start

How much time do I need each week?

The full programme runs to roughly 75 academic hours of video, plus the tests and practice assignments. Most people work through one module every one to two weeks, which comes to about three to five hours a week. There is no deadline, so you can slow down or pause entirely and return later.

Do I need to know astrology already?

No. The first module builds the chart from the beginning and explains signs, houses and planets in plain language. If you already read charts, you can move quickly through the foundations and spend your time on the karmic modules, which is where most of the new material sits.

What if I do not know my exact birth time?

A birth time is needed for the Ascendant, the houses and the chart ruler, so it is worth checking your records first. If the exact minute is unknown, the course explains which parts of the reading remain reliable and which should be treated as provisional until the time is confirmed.

How do I get access after payment?

The course is delivered through your account on our learning platform. As soon as the payment is confirmed, the modules appear in your library and you can start with the first lecture. Nothing is shipped and there is no separate activation step.

What format are the lessons in?

Recorded video lectures, organised into eight modules, with written reference notes, module tests and practice assignments. You watch on your own schedule and complete the assignments on a chart of your choosing.

Does the material stay available?

Yes. Once purchased, the course stays in your account and you can return to any lecture, test or note as often as you need. There is no expiry date on your access.

Can I get a refund if it is not for me?

You have 14 days from the purchase date to request a refund. Write to our support address with your order number and we will process it, no lengthy explanation required. After 14 days the sale is final.

Will this let me read charts for other people?

The course teaches a complete method for interpreting purpose in a natal chart, and many students go on to read for friends and family. It is an educational programme, not a licence or a professional accreditation, so how far you take it is up to you and your own practice.

Is this the same as the course on astrological cycles?

No. This programme focuses on the natal chart and karmic interpretation: the Sun, the Moon, the nodes, the chart ruler, retrogrades and the calculated points. Timing and life cycles are covered only where they help explain a natal placement.
